Management
Byron Coulthard, President / CEO, Director
Mr. Coulthard is a self-employed businessman and past financial consultant. Mr. Coulthard has played a pivotal role in the acquisition and development of Bonanza Resources' list of Oil & Gas projects, as well as in the raising of sufficient capital for Bonanza's pursuits. He has over 20 years experience in the public markets.
Mark Mey, Director
He is currently Vice-President & CFO of Scorpion Offshore with a fleet of ultra-premium jackup offshore drilling rigs. Mr. Mey has been instrumental in raising over US$400 million for the company from 2005 to 2006. Prior to Scorpion, Mr. Mey served as Vice-President and Treasurer of Noble Corporation from 1998 to 2005. Noble Corporation is a New York Stock Exchange listed Oil & Gas Exploration and Development company with a market capitalization of over $10.3 Billion. He also served as Director of Internal Audit, managed the global supply chain and a $100 million oilfield equipment manufacturing operation in Russia. Prior experience included three years in financial consulting and four years in public accounting in the U.S. and South Africa. He is currently Vice-President & CFO of Scorpion Offshore, and has successfully raised over $400 million for the company from 2005 to 2006.
Ian E. Gallie, BSc. (Geol), Director
Mr. Gallie is a petroleum geologist with over 27 years of experience in the oil industry and 16 years of public and private company management. Mr. Gallie has been instrumental in the discovery of several oil and gas fields in Alberta and S.E. Saskatchewan while working at Amoco Canada Petroleum Company Ltd. and Voyager Petroleums Ltd. and has international experience in Europe, North Africa and Colombia. Mr. Gallie has been a President and director of several TSX Venture Exchange companies.
Michael Noonan, Director
Prior to joining Sky Petroleum, Inc. Mr. Noonan served in senior positions at Integrated Electrical Services, a $1.4 billion electrical services company, and Sterling Chemicals, a $1 billion manufacturer of commodity chemicals. He has gained experience with a variety of public entities on all the major exchanges including NYSE, Nasdaq and AMEX.
Mr. Noonan is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and is past president of the award-winning NIRI Houston chapter, as well as winner of the NIRI scholarship to The University of Michigan. He received a master's in Business Administration from Athabasca University in Alberta, Canada, and a bachelor's in Business Administration with a double major in Business Administration and Economics from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and is currently completing an executive JD from Concord University School of Law.
Michael Atkinson, Director
Mr. Atkinson is Director of Business Development for Quest Capital Corp. (June 2003 - present). He held the position of Vice President of Quest Investment Corporation from June 2002 to 2003.
